Former Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, Fred Kpakpo Pappoe has implored the Black Stars to change their attitude if Ghana are to qualify for a fourth successive FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars started the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign on a back foot after they drew blank against the Cranes of Uganda at the Tamale sports stadium, which irritated Ghanaian football populace who believed the outcome of that game stemmed out of the team’s attitude.
And the Accra Great Olympics board member entreated the stakeholders of the team to change their state of mind if they are to realize their dream of qualifying to another World Cup festival in Russia.
“If we continue doing what we’re doing and do not change, I’m afraid to say that we’ll not qualify. People who have been put in place to help the team must wake up from their slumber and executive their jobs,” Fred Pappoe remarked on Otec FM. He deduced, “Everyone who has been placed in a position must stand up and be counted. They must put aside their differences and forgo their pride and work in unity and harmony for the work to achieve its goals. If not that, we’ll not make it to Russia.”
