Asante Kotoko deputy skipper, Frederick Boateng proposed move to Egyptian club has collapsed.

Footballghana.com understands that, the move to Petrojet has been called-off following the inability to get a release letter from the club.

The deal, which was reportedly lucrative has been cancelled despite negotiations between both parties been at an advanced stage.

Boateng was supposed to fly to Egypt ahead of his move last weekend but reports continued that the deadly attacker is still in Kumasi and at the camp of the Porcupine Warriors preparing for their CAF Confederation Cup second group stage game against Zambian giants ZESCO United.

The Reds will host Zesco United in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on February 13.
