Hearts of Oak have announced the signing of Charles McCarthy from fellow Premier League side Elmina Sharks in the ongoing transfer window.
The former Elmina Sharks skipper joins the Pbobians on a free transfer after ending his stay with the Elmina-based side ahead of the resumption of football activities in the country following the investigative piece by ace journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas on corruption in Ghana football.

He has been a key contributor for Elmina Sharks over the past seasons and had attracted interest from several Premier League clubs.
The 20-year-old once earned a call-up to the Black Satellite of Ghana in 2016.
