Free State Stars eyeing move for Asante Kotoko forward Sogne Yacouba

South African second-tier side, Free State Stars are considering a move for Asante Kotoko forward  Sogne Yacouba after identifying him as a long-term solution in their striking department.

Yacouba is seen as a possible replacement for Ghanaian forward Daniel Gozar who has scored 11 goals so far this season and is expected to leave the club for an ABSA Premier League team in the summer.

According to reports, both parties are set to commence negotiations in the coming days.

The 28-year-old is currently involved in a contractual dispute with Asante Kotoko in the last few months after refusing to extend his contract and is bent on leaving the team.

Several clubs have expressed interest in signing the Burkina Faso international including Tanzanian giants Simba FC and Azam United.
