Having been on the fringes of the Arsenal first team since the age of 16, Arsenal starlet Gedion Zelalem - now 19 - has failed to make the break through - and according to theMirror, he has become a target for German giants Borussia Dortmund, who might afford him more opportunities than the north London club have managed thus far.
Born in Berlin to Ethiopian parents, Zelalem has represented both Germany and the United States at youth level.
Originally tipped for greatness, Zelalem is yet to make an appearance for the Arsenal first team. Having spent last season on loan to Glasgow Rangers - where he made 21 appearances in total - the player feels now is the time to start playing more regularly, and it's understandable that he perhaps feels this isn't something he'll be able to achieve at his current club.
If rumours are to be believed, Dortmund are set to make a move in the January transfer window, a movethat would potentially benefit all three parties involved, none more so than the player himself
