Gabby Otchere-Darko, the cousin of the president of Ghana, was not moved by NDC's promise to pay Ghana Premier League players at least GHS 1500 as wages.
Recently, the NDC made a promise to pay players at least GHS1500 in wages if they are given a four-year term by the end of the elections this year.
Otchere-Darko believes the promise is not feasible.
"A world first! Professional footballers to be added to government payroll in case John Mahama wins. I hope the mathematicians are adding up the costs to you the taxpayers. The truth is: you and I know they don't mean it!" he stated on his Facebook account.
The Ghana Premier League is expected in October.
