For being affectionately labelled as 'The Beautiful Game', football can oftenbe a dark and deplorable business at times. Corruption, match-fixing and ludicrous transfer fees constantly dominate the headlines that, when a genuinely heartwarming tale comes to the fore, you can't help but smile reading it.

Bakery Jatta has endured a deeply traumatic life. As a teenager, he fled civil war-torn Gambia and escaped to Germany - where he found football to help him through the pain of losing both his parents at an early age.

Jatta was not well-trained, but caught the eye of local coaches in a German academy aimed at integrating refugees into communities.

Jatta attracted the attentions of Hamburg and Werder Bremen, signing for the former. Due to FIFA statutes, he was forced to wait until he turned 18 to officially sign for the Bundesliga club and was placed into the U21 side, but hehas alreadymade an immediate impact.

Jatta scored both goals in the reserves' 2-0 victory overBSV Schwarz-Weiss Rehden, seizing an opportunity make an early impression.

Getting off the mark for his club, it won't be long before Jatta is promoted to the senior side if he continues in a similar vein - where he may face the superstars of Bayern Munich, a simply remarkable feat for a man who has endured so much.

"I am very happy that I made the first game and the first goals for HSV I did my best and I'm glad I finally got to play," he said following the win.

Let's hope we hear plenty more about him in the near future.
