Atalanta won 1-0 over Cagliari and notched up their eight consecutive win in the league, improving their record, scored their 100th goal in the season and consolidated their fourth place, moving to within a point from third-place Inter and five points from second-placed Lazio.
“We kept the game open, which we should have finished off long before – the Nerazzurri coach said after the match-.
