GBC shock with GFA awarding GPL TV right to StarTimes

The Ghana Broadcast Corporation has released a letter expressing their disappointment with the Ghana Football Association for awarding StarTimes the bid to Telecast the Ghana Premier League.

(GFA)  announced StarTimes Ghana as the new exclusive  Television Rights Holders of the Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup on a five year agreement worth $5.25m US Dollars.

Meanwhile, GBC in a press release has made allegations of bidding 1,100,000 USD annually, which was rejected by the football association.

The Ghana state-owned broadcaster in a press statement signed by the Director of Corporate Affairs, Ms Mamle Asare, said it received the news that StarTimes had won the rights with the best bid with disappointment and shock.
