Former Ghana Football Association Vice President George Afriyie has commended the current administration and the football people for the drastic reduction of hooliganism at match centers.

There have not been many stories of violence by fans at football centers this season as it was widespread in the previous seasons.

It was always one case or the other every weekend after matches were played across the various divisions that incidents of hooliganism will be recorded, but it's not the same this season.

The Okyeman Planners owner was, however, honest to admit that the menace has not been flashed out completely.

"One thing that we have to praise the football association and the football people for is that the act of hooliganism has reduced drastically," he told Asempa FM.

"It has not vanished completely but has gone downy really much. This is one thing we can all pat ourselves in the back and continue improving on it."
