German side SV Lippstadt sign Ghanaian defender Jonathan Kyeremateng

German lower side SV Lippstadt 08 have completed the signing of Ghanaian defender Jonathan Kyeremateng ahead of next season.

Kyeremateng penned a one-year deal with the Regionalliga Westside from the developmental squad of VFL Bochum.

He was an influential player for his side, making 22 appearances in all competitions last season as they finished 2nd on the league table with 46 points, two points adrift leaders FC Köln U-19.

The 19-year-old is expected to play a key role for SV Lippstadt as they chase promotion to the Bundesliga 3 next season.

Kyeremateng, who was born to Ghanaian parents in Dortmund, is the junior brother of Stoke City forward Gabriel Kyeremateng.

He has previously played for the U-17 team of Borussia Dortmund, Rot Weiss Essen, and SC Paderborn 07.
