Germany-born attacker Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer acquires Ghanaian passport; ready to play for Black Stars

Germany-born forward, Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer has disclosed that he is in the process of acquiring his Ghanaian passport and cannot wait to play for the Black Stars.

The talented forward is one of six Europe born players who have agreed to switch nationality to play for the senior national team of Ghana.

Speaking in a recent interview, the player says he has been working on securing his Ghanaian passport.

Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer explains, "I would be willing to play for Ghana. I met with Otto Addo last December, when he was not yet a national coach. Since then, we have been in close contact.”

The 20-year-old forward added “I am already taking care of the Ghanaian passport. I would be happy if I could be present at the next international matches in September."

Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer must do well in the next few months to merit a place in the Ghana squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar.
