Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Edwin Simeon Okarku has sent his goodwill message to the Black Meteors and has backed them to book a ticket to the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Kurt was at the Kotoka International Airport to see off the team as they departed the country to Egypt for the tournament.

The 48-year-old urged the coach Ibrahim Tanko and his lads to end the 16-year jinx in Egypt.

"It's been sixteen years since we qualified to the Olympics and you have about three or four games away from a ticket to the Olympics," the GFA President said.

"We believe you can do it so believe in yourselves and do it for Ghana."

Ghana have been drawn in Group A alongside hosts Egypt, Cameroon, and Mali and will face Cameroon their opening game on November 8, 2019 at the Cairo International Stadium.
