With just a few hours to the kickoff of Kotoko’s match against FC San Pedro at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, newly-elected Ghana Football Association (GFA) president Kurt Okraku has urged the team to go for nothing but victory.

The Porcupine Warriors are set to host their counterpart from Cote d’Ivoire for the first of a two-legged encounter this afternoon as they seek to secure qualification to the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup.

At a visit to the team’s camp at the sports hotel, GFA president Kurt Okraku has called on the playing body to go out and see off FC San Pedro while citing that they have the backing of the football governing body and the entire football community.

“When you go out on the pitch, you should know that it is not only Asante Kotoko SC behind you, you have the GFA and the entire football fraternity and all Ghanaians with you.

“I believe in your quality & have no doubt that you make us all proud”, the FA boss said.

The crucial game between the Ghanaian giant and the Ivorian club will kick off at 15:00GMT.
