Board chairman of Medeama S.C, Dr. Tony Aubynn has disclosed that he backs the ideas for authorities to conduct an integrity test on all aspirants vying for the vacant Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidential seat.
With the football community expected to go to the polls next month to elect a new leader of the association, one thing that seems to be a worry to many aspirants has to do with the proposed integrity test.
In an interview with Angel FM on Tuesday evening, Dr. Tony Aubynn who is also gunning for the vacant presidential seat has stressed that he supports the proposed test because it will be key for the future of the FA.
“If we are serious to rebrand Ghana football then we must embrace the integrity test. This is a process to restore public confidence into our game. We need persons who are transparent, incorrupt and have the fa at heart”, Dr. Tony Aubynn shared.
Meanwhile, he has revealed that he will hold a press conference on Thursday, September 12, 2019, to officially announce his readiness to contest for the top job at the GFA.
He will likely go head to head with football administrators including George Afriyie, Wilfred Osei Palmer, Fred Pappoe, Kurt Okraku, and Nana Yaw Amponsah when the election period comes around.
