The Ghana Football Association have received a disciplinary decision from CAF concerning a protest filed against two of our U17 players in a controversial World Cup Qualifiers second leg played against Morocco in Rabat.
On Monday, Ghana have been banned from competing in the next two editions of the FIFA U17 Women’s African Qualifiers and fined $100,000 for age cheating.
The ban comes after a Moroccan protest that Black Maidens' Nancy Amoh and Rasheeda Shahadu falsified their birthdate information and are above U17.
The GFA intends to appeal the decision after Caf failed to consider its defence.
"The Association have three (3) days to indicate its intention to appeal the decision and a further seven (7) days to send our written statement of appeal to the CAF Appeals Board. The GFA will study the full decision and respond with a written appeal accordingly," GFA said in a statement.
