GFA reveals plan to support Hasaacas Ladies ahead CAF Women’s Champions League

Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Okraku has revealed plans to support Hasaacas Ladies in the maiden CAF Women’s Champions League.

The club is expected to begin the campaign by participating in the qualifying phase, WAFU Regional championship coming up in June 2021 before progressing to the next stage.

Speaking to Asempa FM’s Mavis Amanor on the plans the FA has for the club heading to the competition, Kurt Okraku said, "The Ghana FA will engage Hasaacas Ladies to ensure they prepare adequately for the maiden edition of the CAF Women Champions League in Ivory Coast.

"The Ghana FA did all it could to secure the hosting rights, but the Ivory Coast beat Ghana to it, it is important that the team will be prepared, motivated and be competitive going into the  tournament, this position is non negotiable."

Hasaacas Ladies were champions of the GFA Normalisation Special Competition, hence gaining the nod of the Association to play in the competition.
