GFA scribe Saani Daara fires Micky Charles; “You can pull out of GPL if you want”

The Spokesperson of the Ghana Football Association Ibrahim Saani Daara has dared President of Techiman City Charles Kwadwo Ntim to pull out of the Ghana Premier League if he can’t finance the activities of the his clubs.

Charles Kwadwo Ntim popularly known as Micky Charles has been complaining about the GFA’s failure of securing a headline sponsor for the league.

In a recent radio interview, he stated that their desire to pull out of the league which is just 12-match days from ending.

But Saani Daara in an interview with Joy Sports noted that, the Techiman-based side can quit if they cannot bear the heat.

“We will welcome an official letter from him saying that he wants to pull out of the league, we will welcome that,” he said

“In a situation where we are, we are trying to look for sponsors and you claim you also want a sponsor, if you start saying you want to pull out which sponsor will be interested in sponsoring the league, you are damaging the same product you claim you want sponsors for.

“When you sign up to play in the league, part of the condition is that there is cost involved so you must be prepared.

“If the kitchen is too hot for Techiman City, I will suggest that they happily pull out, there are 48 clubs fighting for three slots so if they do they might make things easier by promoting four clubs to next season’s league.”
