The Ghana Football Association has set up a central fund to support the activities of Juvenile Football, Women’s Football, RFA’s and the Medical Fund.

The newly set up fund is one of 3 funds that have been approved by the Executive Council of the Ghana FA to help improve specific areas of concern.

According to the Ghana FA, the central fund is important due to the pressing need for a dedicated source of funding for the activities of Juvenile Football, Women’s Football, and the RFA’s.

Below is how the country’s football governing body will be getting money for the Central Fund:

  • Ten percent (10%) of all net statutory payments to the GFA
  • Ten percent (10) of all net revenues accruing to the GFA from the participation of all National teams in International assignments.
  • Two percent (2%) of revenue generated from the Football Development Fund (FDF) via international transfers.
  • Revenue from corporate sponsorship
