GFA Vice President Mark Addo, Black Stars technical team attends Akwasidae

The Vice President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mark Addo on Sunday, March 19, led a delegation to attend the Akwasidae Festival.

The beautiful Akwasidae Festival is celebrated by the Ashanti people  and chiefs in Ashanti Region. The festival is celebrated on a Sunday, once every six weeks.

Today, Mark Addo led a delegation made up of members of the Ghana Football Association, the Black Stars management committee, and the Black Stars technical team.

The new Black Stars head coach, Chris Hughton was spotted all smiles as he enjoyed the celebrations.

His assistant, George Boateng was already present and had a good time witnessing the beautiful culture and tradition on display.

Both Chis Hughton and George Boateng are in Kumasi ahead of the official unveiling of the former as the new head coach of the Black Stars.

The former Brighton & Hove Albion manager has been given the national team job and replaces coach Otto Addo who was in charge of the team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

According to the Ghana FA, the unveiling ceremony will be held at the SG Mall on Monday, March 20.

At the unveiling, Coach Chris Hughton will have the chance to tell Ghanaians what to expect now that he is in charge of the Black Stars.

The Ghana FA will also unveil contract details of what has been offered to coach Chris Hughton.

Information gathered indicates that he has signed a three-year deal.
