Medeama SC emerged victors in a high scoring contest against Dwarfs in the GHALCA G8 group B opener on Sunday.
The Tarkwa based club beat fellow premier League side Ebusua Dwarfs 6-5 in Cape Coast.
Former Asante Kotoko forward Kwame Boateng score a brace, with teammate Agyenim Boateng and Jseph Tetteh Zutah all scoring twice for Medeama.
Meanwhile, Dwarfs had five different scorers in the highly entertaining game. Isaac Donkor, Albert Hammond, Stephen Bentil, Joseph Dabitora and Joseph Esso were the scorers for the Crabs.
In a very intense first half, both side scored three times.
The second half was no different as Medeama showed more effort scoring three more goals to snatch victory from Ebusua Dwarfs.
Medeama will next face Accra Hearts of Oak with Dwarfs engaging Karela United.
