GHALCA to meet MOYS amid coronavirus outbreak

Ghana League Clubs Association president Kudjoe Fianoo has disclosed his outfit is set the Ministry of Youth and Sports on the way forward concerning the 2019/20 league season.

The Ghana Football Association suspended all its competitions with immediate effect until further notice following the directives given by the President of the Republic due to the outbreak of coronaviurs in the country.

The disease also called Covid-19 has brought the whole world to a near standstill with Ghana recording 152 confirmed cases of coronavirus - five deaths as of 30th March 2020.

"GHALCA has being discussing with the GFA on daily basis and discussions to meet the Minister of Youth and Sports is in the offing so the Government can come to our aid in these trying times," Fianoo said on Kumasi FM.

"Our situation is very serious coming back from Number 12 debacle and now coronavirus. Our industry also employs a lot of Ghanaians, look at the Premier league, Division One, the number of players and technical team members not forgetting Division two.

"We are also discussing tentative dates for our various competitions."
