Ghana 4-0 Ethiopia: Black Satellites through to AYC final round qualifier

The Ghana U20 male team have progressed to the last round of the 2017 African Youth Championship qualifiers.

The Black Satellites defeated Ethiopia 4-0 in the second leg at the new Cape Coast Stadium on Monday afternoon to progress on a 5-2 aggregate score line.

Two early goals from Kotoko striker Dauda Mohammed and Yaw Donkor in the first half unsettled the Ethiopians who were seeking to make it to the next stage of the competition.

Inter Allies star Evans Mensah added the third goal in the second half to seal victory for the side.

Lille’s Yaw Yeboah who won the most valuable player at the last edition of the tournament scored the 4th goal after converting a freek kick from 30 yards.

Ghana will now meet Senegal who eliminated Tunisia 3-0 on aggregate in the final round of the qualifiers. The Black Satellites finished third at the last edition of the competition in Senegal 2015.
