Ghana coach Avram Grant and his charges will begin their quest for the ultimate at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in December 27 with a non-residential camping in Accra.

The team is then expected to leave Ghana for an intense camp in Dubai on January 2, 2017 with 23 players out of the 30 provisional squad yet to be officially released by the FA.

After 12 days of trimming the rough edges, Grant is expected to then lead his team for Gabon, venue for the Afcon final on January 14.

The Black Stars have been paired in Group D alongside seven times African Champions Egypt, Mali and Uganda.

Ghana has missed out on the Afcon title for more than 32 years and will be hoping to bounce back to glory days in Gabon.
