The Black Stars captain was handed a starting role when his outfit held Len to a 1-1 draw at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis on Saturday.

The first half of the game ended in a pulsating goalless draw, as both teams struggled to find the back of the net in the much-anticipated clash.

After the break, Lens shot into the lead through Przemyslaw Frankowski in the 58th minute mark before Emmanuel Sabbi pulled parity for the visitors from the spot in the 78th minute.

“Good point outside, thank you to the supporters who made us feel like they were there in this stadium! We continue our way. Focus on what’s next” he wrote on Instagram sighted by Footballghana.com

Ayew lasted 74 minutes before he was subbed off Josué Casimir.

The Ghana international has established himself as a key member of Le Havre squad since joining the club in November 2023 as a free agent.

The 34-year-old has racked up four goals in 15 appearances across competitions.
