According to transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano Ghana is seriously tracking Dutch-born Ghanaian defender, Jeremie Frimpong.
Jeremie Frimpong is currently with the Dutch U-21 team and playing really well in their 3-5-2 system.
The 21-year-old signed for German side Bayer Leverkusen for an undisclosed fee, on four and a half year deal on 27th January 2021.
He joined Leverkusen from Scottish club Celtic.
Frimpong initially played for Manchester City at the age of nine and progressed through the club's youth ranks, with regular appearances in Premier League 2 and the UEFA Youth League.
Born in the Netherlands, Frimpong is of Ghanaian descent on his mother's side.
His family moved to England when he was seven years old. As such, he is eligible to play for the Netherlands, Ghana, and England.
Ahead of the World Cup, Inaki Williams, Tariq Lamptey, Mohammed Salisu, Stephan Ambrosius, Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer and Patric Pfeiffer have all completed their nationality switch to play for Ghana.
