Ghana coach CK Akonnor satisfied with outcome of draw for 2021 AFCON

Ghana head coach CK Akonnor is upbeat ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament following the completion of the official draw.

Last Tuesday in Cameron, CAF held the draw for the delayed AFCON tournament scheduled to be staged in January 2021.

At the end of the ceremony that brought together legends of the game and top officials, Ghana was pitted in Group C where the Black stars are set to take on Morocco, Gabon, as well as Comoros.

Speaking on the outcome of the draw, coach CK Akonnor says he is satisfied.

“I think the draw is okay. I didn’t come here [to Cameroon] with expectations of which group I want to be in or not. Nowadays football is evolving and so you cannot expect weaker things”, he stated aim an interview after the draw.

The 2021 AFCON will be staged in Cameroon and will start on January 9, 2021.
