Ghana coach Maxwell Konadu names strong side for 2019 WAFU cup final against Senegal

Head coach for the Ghana Black Stars B team, Maxwell Konadu has named a strong side to feature against Senegal in the final of the 2019 WAFU Cup of Nations tournament later today.

The gaffer is hoping to lead his side to a third successive triumph at the West African tournament after impressing from the start of this year’s edition.

In a bid to ensure his side survives the tough opposition from Senegal who is hosting the tournament, Coach Maxwell Konadu has named the same lineup from the team’s last match when they thumped Cote d’Ivoire in the semi-finals by three goals to one.

He is sticking to a back four made up of Mohammed Alhassan and Habib Mohammed as the central pair, as well as Fatau Mohammed and Patrick Yeboah on the laterals whiles goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi mans the post.

The midfield role will be taken up by Justice Blay and James Akaminko whiles leading striker Shafiu Mumuni as expected pairs up with Joseph Esso.
