Ghana coach search committee to finalise their work today

The six member committee tasked to search for a new coach for the Black Stars will finish their work today.

The committee headed by Ghana Football Association boss Kwasi Nyantakyi on Friday interviewed former France international Willy Sagnol, Kwesi Appiah and Cameroon Coach Hugo Broos for the vacant coaching job.

“We will convey on Monday to do a tallying of the results, so the one who gets the highest marks or points will be the first and in that order, so we recommends that the one who gets the highest marks be offered the job,” Nyantakyi told TV3.

“We interviewed three coaches, one coach physically and two coaches by Skype because they couldn’t come. Only Sagnol came , the other two were Kwasi Appiah and Hugo Broos.”

The Ghana FA boss, however, revealed the criteria they used in interviewing the coaches.

“We have a 10-point criteria for that and they (Coaches) are not equally or even weighted. For instance one of them is age, then we had interpersonal skills, communication skills, we had knowledge of the African football terrain and the experience of working in Africa, then we have educational qualification, professional qualification and then we have track record, then we have health and fitness, we also had moral and criminal record, and vision and philosophy.

“Some of them got 20, some 5, 10 and 15. Age and moral is 5. But the person proven track record is about 10 or 15. vision and philosophy is about 10 or 15, ” he added.
