Ghana confirm UAE as venue for AFCON training camp

The executive committee of the Ghana Football Association together with the technical team of the Black Stars have confirmed the United Arab Emirates as venue for the team’s Afcon pre-tournament training camp.

 

Head coach Avram Grant is expected to lead his charges through a four-day non-residential training session in Accra before the team departs for the UAE on Sunday January 1.

 

While in the UAE, the Israeli will take his final 23-man squad through a 12-day training camp from January 2 to January 13, 2017 before leaving for Gabon.

 

The Black stars have been drawn in Group D of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt, Uganda and Mali.
