Ghana defender Alexander Djiku reacts after Strasbourg’s victory over Auxerre

Ghana international Alexander Djiku has shared his excitement after helping Strasbourg to defeat Auxerre in the French Ligue 1.

The defender started and lasted the entire duration as his outfit inflicted a 2-0 win over Auxerre on Sunday at the Stade de la Meinau.

Djiku put up an impressive to help his side to secure the three maximum points on home turf.

Strasbourg shot into the lead through Gerzino Nyamsi after just five minute into the much-anticipated encounter and went to recess with a goal advantage.

After the break, the host doubled their lead through Habibou Mouhamadou Diallo who scored in the 85th minute mark to seal victory for Strasbourg.

The Black Stars defender has taken to social media to express his excitement following his outfit victory.

“3 points. Clean sheet, duty Accomplished Together” he tweeted.

Djiku is expected to play a huge role for the Black Stars in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers this week.

He was named in Chris Hughton’s 25-man squad summoned for the continental showpiece qualifiers.

Ghana will play host to Angola on Thursday March 23 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi before the reverse fixture in Luanda on March 27, 2023.
