Ghana defender Joseph Attamah makes Rizespor debut in Turkish Super Lig

Ghana international Joseph Larweh Attamah made his Rizespor debut as a second-half substitute in their 1-0 victory over season opener win at Gençlerbirliği.

Attamah replaced Ivorian Ismaël Tiémoko Diomandé in the 60th minute of the game after joining them on Friday.

Six minutes later Rizespor scored through Dario Melnjak which sealed the points for the  Black Sea Sparrowhawks.

The 25-year-old, who can also play in central defence or midfield, joined the Black Sea Sparrowhawk on a season-long loan from Istanbul Başakşehir.

He has previously played for Tema Youth, Adana Demirspor and Basaksehir.

He was part of the Black Stars' set-up at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
