Black Stars defender Kassim Nuhu Adams says he is inspired by former Bayern Munich Star Samuel Osei Kufuor.

The Young boys defender made his competitive bow for the Black Stars in the 1-1 draw against Egypt in the World Cup qualifier on Sunday.

Kassim Nuhu impressed in the game, after partnering Daniel Amartey in the Heart of defense.

The 22 year old maintained his composure and was full of confidence reminiscent of the former Black Stars defender.

According to Kassim Nuhu he watches a lot of video clips from Sammy Kuffuor’s past just to seek inspiration.

“Sammy Kuffour is amazing. He’s someone I always look up to. He was a fighter and a leader. He’s everything a defender ought to be,” he told Citi Sports.

“I watch a lot of his videos on youtube and I hope to be like him,” he concluded.

Kassim Nuhu has been ever-present for Swiss side Young boys this season, playing 12 times from 14 games.

Following his impressive outing in his two games for the Black Stars, the former Leganes defender will look forward for more call ups. He scored on his debut against the Saudi Arabia.
