Ghana international Nicholas Opoku was sent off before halftime as Amiens SC played Dijon in the French Ligue 2 on Sunday.

The Black Stars defender was handed a starting role when Amiens hosted Dijon in the French second-tier over the weekend.

Opoku received a late yellow card as his outfit inflicted a 2-1 win over Dijon on home turf.

The visitors, Amiens opened the scoring Régis Gurtner’s own goal after just one minute into the game.

Despite the red card, Amiens SC fought to secure victory at the expense of Dijon.

Goals from Leautey and Gael Kakuta ensure the home team picked an all important 2-1 win over their opponent.
