Having faced each other on several occasions, the two clubs, share between them seven Kuwaiti Super Cup titles with Al Kuwait having four with regards to Al Qadsiya’s three.

Ahead of the Clash the former Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender stated his intentions of helping the club win the trophy.

"We have prepared well for this match and it's our hope that we come out victorious but it'll not be that easy because my teammates have told so much about what they did last season," the Ghana defender said.

"But I believe we have the edge over them in terms of head to head, so let's see how it goes."

Rashid Sumaila returned to the club following a loan spell at Qatari side Al Gharafa.

The powerful defender is expected to walk right into the team following his preseason form. The game will be played on Thursday, September 7th.
