Ghana international Tariq Lamptey produced a masterful performance to help his Brighton and Hove Albion side defeat Liverpool on Sunday.
The defender was handed a starting role as his side inflicted a 2-1 win over Liverpool at The American Express Community Stadium.
Lamptey assisted one of his outfits two goals before he was subbed off in the 90th minute mark for Jan Paul van Hecke.
The visitors shot into the lead through Harvey Elliott in the 30th minute mark but Brighton equalized through Lewis Dunk with an assist from Tariq Lamptey in the 39th minute.
In the dyeing embers of the game, the home team grabbed the match-winner through Kaoru Mitoma.
The win means Brighton have progressed to the next stage of the Cup competition.
