The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has been brainstorming on how to bring back the game and is considering playing behind closed doors as means to get the clubs busy again.
Since the global pandemic, Covid-19, many sporting activities in the country including football were brought to a halt with the FA having to cancel the 2019/2020 football season.
However, in an Executive Council meeting to discuss the possibility of changing the format for the various leagues in view of the current pandemic, a suggestion was made to play the matches behind closed doors at some centers that will be selected by the FA.
In view of this, the GFA has decided to open the next football transfer window from Saturday, August 15, 2020, and end on Saturday, October 31, 2020, in accordance with the GFA regulations.
The GFA has set the second week in October for the start of the 2020/2021 league season.
