The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is in talks with Dutch outfit Ajax Amsterdam concerning the injury status of Mohammed Kudus.
The talented youngster was named in the 30-man provisional squad of the Black Stars for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament last week although he is carrying an injury.
Due to his unfit status, Ajax are unwilling to sanction his release for the upcoming AFCON scheduled to be staged in Cameroon next month.
Sources tell footballghana that the Ghana FA are this week engaging Ajax over the status and possibility of releasing Mohammed Kudus for the 2021 AFCON.
Although it is unlikely to happen, the GFA remains hopeful of having the Black Stars poster boy for the upcoming continental showpiece.
