Ghana forward Christian Atsu congratulates Newcastle fans after Saudi takeover

Ghana international, Christian Atsu has congratulated Newcastle United fans following the club’s takeover by Saudi investors.

After several months of the possible takeover by investors, the English Premier League club finally sealed a deal with Saudi Arabia PIF on Thursday, October 7, 2021.

In the deal, PIF will own an 80% stake, while the Reuben Brothers and Amanda Staveley’s PCP Capital Partners will get 10% each.

Amid the celebrations, after the deal was made official, former Newcastle United attacker Christian Atsu took to his Twitter page to celebrate with fans of the club.

The new Saudi investors with the highest stake in Newcastle United are said to be worth £320billion.

They have given Newcastle United and its fans the hope that the club can finally make investments to ensure it competes with the top clubs in England and in Europe as well.
