Ghana international Alfred Duncan is elated with the performance of his club US Sassuolo side in the ongoing Serie A campaign.
The Neroverdi began the season on a good note after amassing 13 points from their opening six games - which spurred them to 3rd on the league table.
However, the Italian side have managed to pick up just 6 points from their last five matches which have put coach Roberto De Zerbi under a lot of pressure heading to into their next game.
"I think the team is doing very well this year. I am working to be one of the best and to always be among the first choices of the coach, although there are many strong midfielders,” Duncan stated.
The 25-year-old midfielder bagged his first goal of the season last weekend in their 3-3 draw with Fiorentina.
Following his impressive display, he is expected to keep his place in the team when they travel to Stadio Benito Stirpe to play to Frosinone Calcio on Sunday.
