The 23-year-old suffered the injury against Atletico Madrid on Saturday following a collision with Diego Costa and was stretched off at the end of the game.

However, he was passed fit and handed a starting berth as Celta Vigo snatched a late draw at the Balaidos.

He played full throttle and put up an impressive performance for the Sky Blues.

After a goalless first half, Andria Pedrosa opened the scoring for the visitors in the 48th minute.

However, with just the final kick of the game, Celta Vigo pulled parity after Santi Mina rose high to head in a Hugo Mallo cross.

The former Genk defender has made five appearances in the La Liga since joining Celta Vigo in the summer transfer window.
