Ghana international Elisha Owusu was sent off when his outfit, Auxerre defeated Angers in the French Ligue 2 on Saturday.

The Black Stars midfielder accumulated yellow cards and was given the marching orders before halftime of the much-anticipated clash.

Owusu received two yellow cards in a space of three minutes, leading to his sent off in the week 24 of the French second-tier league.

The midfielder first booking was on 33rd minute and the second was on the 36th minute mark.

Despite falling short, Auxerre managed to secure victory over Angers to merit the three maximum points at the Stade de l'Abbé Deschamps.

Brazil international Jubal emerged as the hero for Auxerre after stepping up to score the winning goal in added time of the game.

The 26-year-old Ghanaian midfielder has scored one goal and provided two assists in 22 games across competitions.
