Ghana midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng took to twitter to celebrate his youth team, Hertha Berlin’s 125th birthday by singing in Spanish the capital based club.
Hertha BSC was founded in 1892, and was a founding member of the German Football Association in Leipzig in 1900. The team won the German championship in 1930 and 1931.
The Ghanaian is still in pre-season with his Spanish side Las Palmas but wrote the famous “its home” message that is known to both past and present players of Hertha.
Boateng played for Hertha Berlin between 2005 and 2007 playing 42 times and scoring four goals.
Before, joining the senior side he spent three seasons at the youth side.
The Las Palmas player has played for several clubs including Dortmund, Tottenham, Portsmouth and AC Milan.
Boateng first broke through the club and has gone on to play for other clubs like Portsmouth and Schalke.
