Ghana midfielder Kudus Mohammed honoured after exploits at World Cup

Ghana international Kudus Mohammed has been honoured for his explosive performance at the 2022 World Cup, where the Black Stars exited group stage.

The 22-year-old Ajax midfielder was Ghana's best player at the tournament, contributing to three of the Black Stars goals at the tournament in Qatar.

Kudus scored a brace to give Ghana victory against South Korea in the second group game. His assist to Andre Ayew gave the Black Stars the equalizer against Portugal in the Group H opener.

He also won the Black Stars a penalty against Uruguay but Ayew missed from the spot as Ghana exited the competition following a 2-0 defeat to Uruguay.

As a result, the Western Regional minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah has awarded the enterprising midfielder for his explosive display at the mundial.

The in-demand midfielder was honored with a commemorative gold medal for that performances he exhibited the World Cup.
