Ghana to miss out on Andre Ayew and Kwadwo Asamoah for Egypt duel

Ghana have been dealt a big blow after West Ham United and Juventus both refused to release their Ghanaian internationals due to injury concern.

The Black stars vice captain Ayew, made his second Premier League appearance for the Hammers on Sunday following his return from an injury he sustained on his debut in August.

Despite his return to action, the medical team of West Ham is reported to have rejected a national team invite from Ghana ahead of the 2018 world Cup qualifier against Egypt in Alexandria.

Similarly, Kwadwo Asamoah who also made a quick return to action on Wednesday October 26, in Juventus 4-1 win over sampdoria, has also been denied the chance to Don the national colours once again after a long spell out of the Black stars due to injury.

Both clubs fear their players have not fully gained match fitness hence the need to deny them national team exercise.

Black Stars have failed to win in their last four matches and head Coach Avram Grant who was hopeful of having a full strong squad to aid him to a win against Egypt, will now have to switch attention to other players for the must win game.

Ghana will play Egypt on November 13 in Alexandria in the second group game of the 2018 World Cup qualifier.
