Former Hearts of Oak poster boy, Charles Taylor has kicked against the option of inviting Sulley Muntari in the Ghana squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Nigeria.

According to the retired footballer now turned sports analyst, Sulley Muntari is not national team material at the moment.

He insists that Ghana needs serious players for the task ahead and must look beyond the Hearts of Oak midfielder.

“Sulley Muntari is Not a Black Stars material for the Nigeria Clash. We need serious players! He should focus on Hearts so he gains fitness, he can be called when Ghana qualifies for the World Cup,” Charles Taylor told Angel TV in an interview.

Sulley Muntari in the last few weeks has displayed fine form for Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League.

As a result, there are several calls for his inclusion in the Black Stars squad for the upcoming double-header against rivals Nigeria.
