Ghana new defender Tariq Lamptey has expressed delight about the warm reception he received after arriving at Black Stars camp.

The former Chelsea defender is one of five players who committed to Ghana earlier this year, and are all in camp in France.

Lamptey, who plies his trade for Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion in his first interview since switching allegiance to play for Ghana said he is looking forward to the Brazil clash.

“Everyone has been fantastic; everyone has been welcoming. It’s been so good. I’m very proud to be here and I’m really just trying to train hard to give the best I can for the team,” Lamptey said.

“I’m looking forward to the game on Friday. In this game, we are preparing very well and we all want to be ready for Friday," he added.
