Ghana players return to club duties after Ethiopia win

The Black Stars players that were invited by coach Kwasi Appiah for their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier with Ethiopia have started joining their respective clubs.

Ghana defeated Ethiopia 2-0 on Sunday at the Addis Ababa Stadium- a game Ghana needed all three points to enhance their chances of making the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

Crystal Palace striker Jordan Ayew who returned the team for the first time in over year scored a brace to help Ghana win.

His brother Andre Ayew also making a return captained the team as skipper Asamoah Gyan was an unused substitute.

All players departed for their respective Clubs on Monday.

Coach Appiah together with his assistant Ibrahim Tanko and backroom staff arrived in Ghana on Monday afternoon.

Ghana will take on Kenya who currently sits top of the group in the last qualifying match.

Ghana still have two outstanding games in the group following a FIFA ban on Sierra Leone.
