Published on: 15 February 2020

Inter Allies traveled to Berekum and managed to cause an upset in their match against Berekum Chelsea on matchday 10 of the Ghana Premier League.

Inter Allies were surprisingly on the front foot at the start of the whistle and made it count after the half hour mark. Victorien Adebayor got a direct free kick and converted it superbly to give the "Eleven is to one" boys the lead in the 32nd minute.

Inter Allies went into the break with the advantage but did not sit back in the second half. They got a deserved two goal cushion three minutes after the restart and it was Samuel Armah who found the back of the net for the visitors.

Berekum Chelsea pulled one back through Augustine Henneh in the 63rd minute and piled on the pressure at the closing stages.

Inter Allies were unperturbed by the goal conceded and went on to score once again through Victorien Adebayor in the 89th minute. He has now scored 10 goals in 10 league games, the highest by any player so far.

Inter Allies held on to the win and have now accumulated 14 points and are in 8th place whilst Berekum Chelsea move down to 5th with 17 points.
