Ghana Premier League matchday 10 report: Kordzi's brace spurs Hearts of Oak to victory

Hearts of Oak secured a victory after initially going behind against Bechem United on matchday 10 of the Ghana Premier League.

Hearts of Oak showed some threat at the beginning of the game and got a goal but it was disallowed. Daniel Afriyie found the net for the Phobians in the 8th minute but the referee chalked the goal off for offside.

Bechem United then went on the offensive and got a spot kick. Prince Adu Kwabena stepped up and converted it with aplomb in the 28th minute, taking his goal tally to seven.

Hearts of Oak pushed back and were rewarded four minutes later. A Bechem United player handled the ball in the box and a penalty was given. Kofi Kordzi tucked it away in the 32nd minute to level the scores.

Hearts of Oak came back strong in the second half and were rewarded after the hour mark. Fatawu Mohammed led by example with a good finish from a corner in the 64th minute.

Bechem United however leveled matters with 15 minutes remaining. Hafiz Konkoni finished off a brilliant team move to bring the Hunters back into the game.

Hearts pushed on and sealed the victory in the dying minutes of the game. Kofi Kordzi made the difference, securing his brace.
